All About Oxygen Therapy

The therapy increases the amount of oxygen in the blood and tissues, helping the body recover faster and fight infections and inflammation. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is commonly used to accelerate wound healing, relieve long COVID symptoms, and support recovery in certain neurological conditions. Each session lasts approximately one hour. For the best results, therapy is recommended as a course of 10, 20, or 40 sessions.

  • Strengthens the body’s core functions and boosts overall energy levels
  • Supports the immune system and helps the body fight infections
  • Promotes the formation of new blood vessels and improves oxygen absorption
  • Helps the body eliminate toxins and enhances skin health
  • Aids recovery after physical training and illness
  • Supports healing and recovery after radiation and chemotherapy
  • Has anti-aging effects
  • Helps relieve chronic fatigue and supports recovery from long COVID

You will enter the hyperbaric chamber in your regular clothing. Each session lasts approximately one hour. During your first visit, you’ll be asked to complete a client consent form, so the initial session may be slightly shorter. Oxygen is delivered either through a mask or nasal cannula — whichever you prefer. Inside the chamber, you can relax, read, work on your laptop or phone, or simply rest.

As the pressure increases and decreases, you may feel a slight pressure in your ears, similar to what you experience during an airplane flight. This sensation can be relieved by swallowing, gently blowing your nose, or using any other equalizing techniques that work for you while flying.

At our Oxygen Therapy Center, we provide hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) in a hard-shell chamber, ensuring a stable and well-controlled environment. Through the large transparent chamber window, you can observe your surroundings and communicate with our HBOT specialist via the built-in intercom system.

During pressurization, the specialist can adjust the rate and level of pressure increase and make pauses if needed to ensure your maximum comfort and safety.

In general, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is safe and well tolerated. However, we do not recommend or provide HBOT in the following cases:

  • Presence of a pacemaker
  • Claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
  • Obstruction of nasal or sinus passages, caused by anatomical factors or chronic inflammation (e.g. sinusitis)
  • Acute respiratory infections accompanied by coughing, runny nose, sore throat, or nasal congestion
  • Fever or other signs of acute illness
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure (above 170/90 mmHg) that does not respond to treatment
  • Severe chronic lung diseases, such as pulmonary fibrosis, pneumothorax, emphysema, or lung abscesses
  • Epilepsy
  • Pregnancy
